If you have been asked by your customer to gain certification to a BRC Standard, here are the steps that you will need to go through:

STEP 1 第一步
Order a copy of the Standard and assess the compliance of your site to its guidelines.

STEP 2 第二步
Select an accredited Certification Body to carry out the evaluation on your site.

STEP 3 第三步
A one-day BRC Standards familiarisation course will help you plan and prepare for evaluation. It could save you money by using consultants more effectively, if you need to use them. If your manufacturing facility is brand new, you will need to run your systems for a minimum of 6 months before getting an evaluation done.

Certificates will not be issued without appropriate corrective actions or well defined corrective action programmes in place
除非糾正措施已經(jīng)實(shí)施或者可接受的糾正措施計(jì)劃已經(jīng)到位，否則認(rèn)證證書不予頒發(fā)。
There are three levels of non conformance: critical, major and minor
不符合項(xiàng)有三種：嚴(yán)重不符合項(xiàng)，主要不符合項(xiàng)，輕微不符合項(xiàng)
It is the supplier’s responsibility to maintain certification
保持證書是供應(yīng)商的責(zé)任。
It is the Certification Body’s responsibility to maintain an on-going evaluation programme
保持一個(gè)持續(xù)的審核是認(rèn)證機(jī)構(gòu)的責(zé)任。
Any significant change to the status of your Company (e.g. change in product, process, factory environment conditions) must be made known to the Certification Body granting certification.
如果你公司有重大的變化（例如產(chǎn)品、程序、工廠環(huán)境發(fā)生變化），這些變化必須通知認(rèn)證機(jī)構(gòu)。
The Cost of BRC Certification BRC認(rèn)證的費(fèi)用
The time and the cost will depend entirely on how big the site is and what systems, procedures, and work practices are in place.
認(rèn)證的人日數(shù)和認(rèn)證費(fèi)用取決于生產(chǎn)場所的大小和有什么體系、程序和生產(chǎn)經(jīng)驗(yàn)。
The certificate will last for a year, and you will have to renew it, or it will become invalid. If the next evaluation audit shows up some major non-conformances, then the certification frequency can go down to 6 months. All the details on this are in the protocol of each standard.
認(rèn)證的有效性保持一年（或者半年），將進(jìn)行重新審核，否則認(rèn)證將會(huì)失效。如果下一次審核出現(xiàn)一些主要不符合項(xiàng)，那么認(rèn)證頻率將會(huì)是6個(gè)月。所有的有關(guān)這方面的詳細(xì)信息在每個(gè)標(biāo)準(zhǔn)的準(zhǔn)則里面都有。
There is an important change to the scheme that will affect all Companies that are evaluated after the 17th July 2006. All evaluations that have been agreed between the Certification Bodies and their clients after the 17th July 2006 will be subject to a BRC administration fee. This fee will be a transparent and separate item on the invoice from the Certification Body who will forward the fee to the BRC.
對于在2006年7月17號以后認(rèn)證的企業(yè)，有個(gè)重要的變化會(huì)對他們有影響。所有的在2006年7月17號以后與認(rèn)證機(jī)構(gòu)達(dá)成協(xié)議的企業(yè)，都需要承擔(dān)BRC管理費(fèi)。這部分費(fèi)用將由認(rèn)證機(jī)構(gòu)代替企業(yè)交給BRC。這部分費(fèi)用是透明的，發(fā)票也將是分開的。
Once you have received certification, the main costs will be evaluation costs to prevent the certification running out
一旦你已經(jīng)獲得了認(rèn)證，那么主要的費(fèi)用將是保持認(rèn)證的費(fèi)用。
The BRC is not responsible for setting a cost structure for certification bodies, as this would be beyond its remit as a standards owner.
BRC不負(fù)責(zé)對認(rèn)證機(jī)構(gòu)的收費(fèi)進(jìn)行管理，因?yàn)檫@些事情超出了作為一個(gè)標(biāo)準(zhǔn)擁有者的職責(zé)。
